Our new Solid Gold Initial Necklaces are made from 9kt solid gold. The 0.81mm thick pendant discs are strung on a highly polished curb chain weighing over 2g. Our new 9kt gold discs are the same thickness as our much loved 14 kt gold filled initial pendants. Each initial disc is made and personalised in our workshop, with our signature hand-stamped finish and hallmarked in Dublin Castle.
9kt gold is solid gold. It is 9 parts pure gold or 37.5% pure, the hallmark purity stamp will read 375 on pieces made of this alloy. 9kt is a hard-wearing gold, making it the perfect material for jewellery that can be worn every day and is long lasting.
14kt rolled gold or gold filled is a layer of pure gold pressure-bonded to a core of jeweller's brass, so is not solid gold the whole way through. Rolled gold is more valuable than gold plating or vermeil, it is tarnish resistant and will last for many years when cared for.
There are two sizes available in our new initial collection. Our 'Dainty' disc is 9.5 mm and our 'Medium' or 'Midi' disc is 12.7 mm. These disc sizes match the sizes of our most popular 14kt rolled gold initial necklaces.
Yes ! The beauty of our Solid Gold Initial Necklaces is that the 9kt gold initial discs are available individually and can be added to your chain at a later time. These will slide on to your existing Lulu + Belle 9kt gold initial chain without you having to send back your original chain, making them the perfect keepsake or gift for expectant Mums.
Our Solid Gold Initial discs are a perfect addition to any much loved 9kt gold necklace. Discs can be purchased individually without the chain. Each disc has a 6 mm jump ring which can slide onto most chains as long as the end closure on your chain will fit through the disc's jump ring.
We have created two beautiful fonts for you to choose from. Our 'Sweet Script' font is a delicate and elegant script font. Our 'Pure + Simple' font has clear, clean lines. You can see each letter in both fonts from our font charts before choosing the perfect one for you.
Your solid gold pendant comes strung on a solid gold curb chain. This is a delicate but strong chain that is over 2 g in weight.
There is one chain length available with our Solid Gold Initial collection - 18 inches. We've chosen this chain length as it's a good standard length on most people. Our solid gold chains are not adjustable.
Your necklace is custom made to order in our workshop. Delivery of our solid gold necklaces is with DHL. Orders of in stock items will be shipped within 3 working days. Delivery takes 1 - 2 working days from the time of dispatch within Ireland and 5 - 10 working days within Europe. A signature will be required on delivery.

Your Solid Gold Initial Necklace will come presented in our beautiful velvet lined jewellery boxes, ready to gift. To further protect your necklace and velvet lined jewellery box it will be packaged in one of our postal boxes to ensure its safe arrival.
Absolutely! Just add your note to the "Gift Note" box when you place your order and our team will include the handwritten note on our gift card when sending your order.
Your necklace is custom made to order in our workshop from precious metal + therefore all orders are final. We are unable to accept returns, exchanges or refunds on necklaces or discs personalised with initials. Please make sure to check your initial on our font chart before placing your order, to ensure you are happy. We will contact you before making your order to confirm the initial to be stamped. Please ensure that your email and / or phone number is correct when ordering.
As always, we don't recommend showering with your jewellery on, doing so can reduce the shine of your beautiful 9kt gold necklace over time. You should also not expose it to chemicals -such as chlorine, perfumes, cosmetics and sunscreen may cause reactions and eventual damage to your gold jewellery.
